Have Cellular Phone Ringtones Really Solved The Problem?

Remember when the following situation happened to you, or someone you know.

You are in some crowded large area. It may be a busy street, a mall, or a store, and there are lots of people around you. The phone rings and you and everyone around you goes for their cellular phone. When the persons whose phone it is says hello, everyone turns to look at him, with a not so nice look on their face. Of course if you have not picked up your phone yet, you kind of search around your body as if you were looking for a kleenex or a bit of change, or something. IF you did take your phone out, then you look at it, as if you were just going to see what time it was. Cellular phone ringtones were later invented to solve this problem.

What can You do to Avoid the Above Embarrassing Situation?

This was one of the problems that influenced the technology for cellular phone ringtones. Today the ringtone industry is a million dollar industry and there are all kinds of cellular ringtones on the market. You can personalize your cellular phone ringtones. A long time ago phones only came with ringtones that were placed there by the manufactured. Today you can choose from many and change them whenever you want. You can download them from different sites on the internet, or even receive them from different friends. You can even choose different ringtones to use for different people that call you. Phones state who you are and have also become a symbol of your status. For instance, if you want to appear more serious then you might choose as one of your cellular phone ringtones a small section of an orchestral symphony. If your looking for something thats fun you might use a cartoon theme song. If you are a teenager, then you will probably want the first release of your favorite band, so all your friends can ooooh and awww when they hear it.

So everything is great now, the above problem no longer happens and everybody is happy, right? Wrong, Now the problem is that we change our cellular phone ringtones so often, that we forget which one we are using. Or guess what? The person next to you is using the same song that you use as a ringtone. Another reason we still have the same problem with our cell phones is that there are so many weird modern life sounds that they all sound the same, and we've sort of just tuned it all out.

What is the solution for our cellular phone ringtone problems?

Really there is not much we can do, except enjoy the different cellular phone ringtones we can use, and hope that the next you hear a phone ring in a public place, it really is actually your phone that is ringing.
